Examine the roof <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

After months of heavy snowfall, windstorms and ice buildup, your roof shingles may need some attention. Hire a professional to come on your roof and do an inspection. Check for missing shingles, cracks, warping, or beginning to curl. Damaged shingles must be replaced. If it looks like you need to replace more than a few shingles, it may be time to start planning for a new roof before next winter. <\/span><\/p>\n

Clean the gutters <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Your home’s gutters should be cleaned at least once a year to prevent blockages and damage. The best time to do this is in late fall, after the leaves have fallen from nearby trees. With all the snow and ice melting, it’s time to inspect your fences and deck. Check for cracked boards or panels, and make a plan to replace them if necessary.
